my twin simple is a Beckman W. Dunno if it is durable or has enough power output for my needs. Alas I am only 20 percent into it and life intercedes.

do you have a Yarra engine in your boat. I like their steeple compounds. alas the builder has retired.

I'm not sure about the admiralty whalers, but the 23' steel lifeboats built during WWII are very stable and can be driven above hill speed. A friend of mine has an example that was equipped with a Semple VFT and Semple 3&5x4" v-compound.
