Hello Guys,
Thanks for the responses, I think I have found a source for a closer-matched Chinese motor.
See you soon,

Can anyone help me with motor wiring?
My lathe motor burned up last week. It was a Nunming 1.5 HP and lasted 25 years. I found a Baldor L1319M on ebay and got a good price on it. It looked like a close replacement. And that's the end of my electrical ability right there. I still think that it is a close replacement but I'll be darned if...

Re: Next Question from novice with a Model M Boiler
Wonderful, now I get it. Thanks for the photos. I probably won't be purchasing all those U-bends, but I can now see that my superheater and waterheater can be built with the skills and tools I have. Thanks.

Re: Next Question from novice with a Model M Boiler
Thank you so much for your responses. I always learn good stuff here! But it also generates some more questions for me. I'm afraid I'm not sure of "They make "u"-bends that would make making an economizer very convenient and easy." Does this mean that there are manual tube bender...

Next Question from novice with a Model M Boiler
Hello Gentlemen, Tube bending (for superheater and waterheater) has become the next question (or questions, as I know nothing of the field). I have three lines of thought: First, after watching This Old Tony on Youtube easily bending steel tubing flawlessly with only the most basic of tools (roller ...

Water Column for Novice's Model M Boiler
Hello Gents, Embarrassing question this time. My drawings for the Model M boiler shows a Water Column for the sight gauge, try-cocks, etc. But the drawing doesn't show anything about the enclosure for the boiler and I don't even know whether the column is inside or outside of the enclosure. I have s...

Can copper tubing replace the 5/8th steel seamless tubing called for on the a model M blueprints for superheater and water heater? What are the trade offs in doing this?
Thanks,
Robert

Re: New Boilermaker Needs Novice level help on Model M
Thanks gentlemen. That is good news on the annealing. I'm willing to have one less major process! I did find the butt weld steel fittings, that is a great option. I do have a larger MIG, up to 230 amps, and I have been checking the penetration at various settings. I feel pretty good about my recent ...
