I have had the boat for 5 years so I am used to just using the injector. But my brain is thinking I have water near pump and much mechanical force at plunger, thus some water should be moved. gotta check the intake checkvalve

my twin simple is a Beckman W. Dunno if it is durable or has enough power output for my needs. Alas I am only 20 percent into it and life intercedes.

stinkpot diesels only push lifeboats about 4 or 5 knots so their hullspeed is crap. Their design criteria are heavy seas and many souls. Is there a forum for twin Merlins and Miss England? time to go racing on Derwentwater

thanks for tips. I have a tug set up already, complete with scotch marine boiler. It is great but a bit of a tempermental steamer. thanks for the replies people. I am in a lake with freshwater. There is a strainer on the seacock. If i open the other seacocks to injector or hand pump the water just pours in. The main check on pump is buried between flywheel and standard so very very tough to get it, I didnt build the boat. Tryin...
