Building the Elliot Bay triple
I thought I would post a link to another forum where I am documenting my trials and tribulations (mostly self induced) in building this engine. I hope that it will be of some help to others who wish to take on this project. It is definately a beautiful engine, and my hope is that I dont screw it up....

Contact Pat Spurlock of Elliot Bay Steam Launch. I think he has castings for one that is gear driven off the shaft.

Something you might want to look at would be a possible loose piston. Or maybe check your strike points to see if anything has changed.

Not much as far as private steam launches are concerned. However I have volnteered as a fireman/oiler on the steamer Virginia V which is a 122 ft wooden hulled steamer in Seattle. She has a tripple expansion engine also.

Thanks Ken, Recently Pat Spurlock with a good friend of mine Keith Sturmburg did a lot of revising of the drawings and some of the castings to hopefully resolve some of the issues that folks had.
