Here are a few pictures of some of the steam boats that once could be seen on the Rangeley Lakes in Maine. It was, and still is a big hunting and fishing vacation area, and there used to be many camps and hotels in the area.

Here's a nice article about the use of steamboats in the Maine wilderness. The lakes of Maine were home to many steamboats in the late 1800's, early 1900's.

A recent acquisition. An Air Brake Inspectors Test Gage. Included is a catalog page and a 1905 advert.

I also picked up a pocket size caisson gage used to read air pressure in situations where a caisson was being used, ie: underwater bridge support construction.
