Re: Bearer Material Selection

Your thoughts on bearer position would also be appreciated please. This is the hull I'm working with - she's approx 16' long. Photos are not ideal, they were taken from the sale listing. Re: Bearer Material Selection

Thankyou for all the advice chaps, I've also had a few SBA members call me to give me advice so I think I've a plan of attack now. I have a source of free, well seasoned oak which will influence my material choice! The sawing operation for this oak may be of interest to you lot: http://www.youtube.c...

I posted this add on the SBA Small Ads page but figured it worth asking here too... I have recently purchased my first steam boat project and am looking for a boiler, suitable for coal firing and preferably a VFT (although others considered) to drive a Taylor single engine (2.5" x 2.5" cylinder) in ...

Hello from Somerset, England!

Hello! A new steam boater, and recent member of the SBA here! I've just purchased a 16' steam launch requiring restoration and figured this was the place to come for all of the stupid questions I have! I dabble in anything with a steam engine in but I've always wanted a boat... I'm currently on the ...
