Most boats have one of two different types of condensors, but they are both surface types Keel condensor Shell and tube condensor The shell and tube is very similar to your current one on ...

Re: Stuart 6 A lubrication and Stephenson lever
Hi Midship, I used a model locomotive ratchet style dual pump to feed the connecting rod "big ends". Though my engine is not a 6A, it is a compound. The connection is via flexible teflon tubing. One end is fixed at the base of the rear standard to which I have hard plumbed the pumps. The other end i...

Re: Steam Injectors
What they Said! :D I use a Superscale Locomotive works "Economy" injector on my boat as a secondary feed source from either the feed tank or from the water I'm in. I didn't plumb it to the hot well for reasons stated by John. It works well. Great way to simmer down a boiler when you slide into your ...

Patterns were easy as you can dial in the shrink to what ever you want. About $80K for the printer....I wouldn't kno...

Re: Manual Feed Water Pump Opinions
How big is your boiler? I mean how much water does it hold? That pump is kinda small....and will seem smaller if your trying to fill the big boiler in a hurry...... Mine I believe is 1.625 bore x 3" stroke.....and I have 2 1/2 gallons of water. It was sold to me by Bechmann.... Wish he used SS or br...

Re: How does this engine work?
I think that was Dave's.....its a relatively big engine....maybe 4x4 or so.
I believe it is cast and was made by Lombard, of the Lombard Logger fame.
