Re: Hand and driven pumps for boiler feed - WANTED UK

He has lots of stuff for steam boat builders. or contact Iain Miles your area rep. Both are fairly local to you. Have you looked at the sales/supplies page on the SBA website...

Re: Southworth 12 inch vertical steam pump
As the cost of either bronze or cast iron is the same I would prefer bronze cylinders.
I am half way into building the 6 inch pump, I wish now I went for the 12 inch.

Re: UK source of firebricks/vermiculite panels for boiler ?
Based in Bristol, I see. they seem to have a good range of stuff suitable for building boilers. Should they be added to the SBA website as a known supplier?gallanach wrote:Malcolm Duckett sourced the insulation material for his boiler from https://shop.vitcas.com/

Remember you can buy these ready made up from places like Machine Mart. Also the inner does not have to go all of the way to the top.

Re: Funnel design?
It is all very simple, the inner flue has 3 stainless sticky out bits riveted to the top. just a bent L shape. Slide the outer over the inner and the bottom of the outer just rests on the casing. not fixed. Held in place by its weight. The inner does have a slight force fit into the stub as the bott...
