I like the tube rolling process but never did it. Tube rolling here in Germany is less strict reglemented than boiler welding... Where/how have you learned the tube rolling process?

3d-milling

Only 3 pictures allowed per post - so I will contiue here Residual material milling with 0.5 mm z-steps Max travel = 2.5 m/min = 40 mm/sec = 1.6 inch/sec - Total milling time from raw material about 30 minute. Will take at least twice as long with the harder material for the molds. 2014-03-23.213300...

3d-milling

Today I did a test milling of the gear top cover:
Roughening with 8 mm ball mill in 10 mm z-steps. 20% x-Y overlap

Hello Pete, it depends on the settings/timing of your valves. For the same output a compound need "more steam" in the HP than one HP of a twin. Therefore you have to change the timing and/or the valve shape. Same thing with the expansion. You want to divide the expansion phase into two cylinder. The...
