Taylor Twin Engine
I have made a video of a Taylor Twin.
It is a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 twin high. Ideal engine for a 20 foot boat and very well designed. If you're thinking of building an engine, you should consider this one.

Air Compressor - Not as good as a steam boiler but faster to test an engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sf9TZUnHrg 2. Boring machine - probably the best thing I bought off Ebay: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Prospective steam launch builder in West Virginia
Scott, you want one of these engines: http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff82/Thesteamboatforum/Triple/P3200009.jpg Its around 15HP. You seem to have a good idea for a hull. My dad has built two of these engines (well nearly finished the 2nd) and we have most of the castings for a 3rd. Email me if y...

Re: Whistle pipe
It may sound like a novel idea, though I have seen it done before, but how about drilling a hole in the side of the funnel and flue? People have tried every different way to have a whistle that doesn't rain water all over them, very few have succeeded. When I manage to get a boat built, I'll try hav...

Now there is a way to get Naomi interested in steam boats.
