It's bit rough around the edges in places but should be right at home in the "shanty boat" had a baby with a "river boat" esk hull it is intended for. Slow, wide, and shallow river weekend camping on the hook, so will almost certainly be driving paddle wheels instead of a propeller.

Very interesting! They even tested pork tallow! I've only skimmed it but saw no mention of burnishing them in. I was taught whenever possible(split bearing with a retaining strap or housing) to make it slightly to small of a clearance for the shaft then tighten it down while the shaft was turning, f...

The power take off of it is a bull sprocket between the throws of the crankshaft for d60 chain to minimize bearing side thrust.
