Getting on to the other side now, looks a bit daunting but one step at a time

I've just been sanding and scraping my old clinker boat,
Should I use varnish or penetrating epoxy?
I like the look of it and just want a clear coating of something on it ubove the waterline any suggestions?

Tops are off and now it's time to remove the framework and make some more space for seats inside

Got the last bit of the keel done today now for some ribs

A question for the knowledgeable out there, How far forward from the transom should the propeller be situated? Obviously the further forward it goes the smaller the props going to be, at the moment the prop is 15 inches in diameter sitting back about two inches from the transom, is this a good spot?...
