Looking for a running single, or twin

Post by quinten1231 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 5:13 pm

Hello

I am looking for a running (or at least fully machined) steam engine. I wouldnt mind assembling one, would actually prefer that since I enjoy assembling stuff (except for IKEA furniture)
Something along the lines of a Stuart 5a or tinypower. Or a twin cylinder, but I highly doubt they are offered cheap except for castings.

Would be used as a real boat enginemin a dinghy or sailboat hull, so no model.

Regards Quinten

Hi QuintenI
I often work with Chinese manufacturers. So, I got the contact to a Chinese steam engine factory.
A machine with 2.5HP (900$)is on the road to me, if there is interest I could order one for you.
But, I'd wait until I have my machine to test it.
I live in Switzerland/Bern wir könnten also auch deutsch reden.....

Urs

Sehr interessant, haben sie auch ein foto von der Maschine?
Actually
I am going to keep communicating in English so others in the forum can understand as well
I will definetly wait till you have the engine, because I would like to see how it looks and how the build quality is, and whether it operates as it should.

Hello Quinten
I can not post unfortunately the image because it was sent in a strange format. As soon as I have the machine I post a picture. Wait 1-2 Weeks.

Hello together

The webside of the chinese steamengine producer is online again!

Its biosteamengine.com

She looks better than expected and runs very well with on air.

I have also one of their high pressure pump and a brass oiler

I think the stuff is well worth the money.

Hi Urs

I'm living in Bern as well.

Would it be possible to have a quick look to the chinese engine you received currently?

Please let me know your e-mail or cell phone number.

Thanks in advance,

Ä Gruess
