I have 2 Nabic 3/4" Safety Valves for sale if anyone interested. Happy to sell them singly. Both about 20 years old and (roughly) set for 125 psi. I think the existing springs, which are in fair condition, would be ok in the range 100 to 150 psi; outside that new ones can be got from Nabic. They are of the 'high lift' type and are ex 'Adamant'. Contact me here or by email if interested, they will go on Ebay soon. Sensible offers please as they are about £200 new from Heritage Steam Supplies. Postage to US at cost!

Can they be reset for 200-250psi? Am I correct to assume they're BSP thread?

Did not read your full reply. Yes they are both 3/4" BSP threaded, both the outlet(F) and the connection to boiler (M). If you want I can make enquiries to Nabic and check the spring situation. Phil

Phil, sorry for the late response... Unfortunately the BSP threading puts them out of my arena

Thank you anyway.

Just FYI, 3/8" and I think? 1/2" BSPT are "compatible" with 3/8" NPT. I think at 3/4" they are different enough that you need an adapter. For future reference, mcmaster carr sells adapters.

By "compatible" the thread pitch is the same, the geometery is slightly different on the angles. (NPT/NPS threads have a 60° included angle and have flattened peaks and valleys ; BSPT threads have a 55° included angle and have rounded peaks and valleys.)

I originally bought an adapter for an English engine, only to find that it really wasn't necessary. If you google this, it says however that you shouldn't do this. However I've done it up to 125 PSI steam with no issues.

Mileage may vary...
