I think is the just the running gear that is articulated.

It's amazing they're restoring one! Hoping to make it to the sesquicentennial of the transcontinental railroad this May and see her in action!

Now they need to take on the restoration of the only remaining cab-forward that is in the Sacramento railroad museum.
