Dear Steam Enthusiasts

I am not sure if this is the right place to put this query, but here goes. I have been contacted by Jane Kerr who is attempting to write a book about Lambie Boatbuilders of Greenock and Wallsend.

She has spotted that one of their boats is in the SBA flotilla (Little Lamb) and has unearthed this rather nice photo of a boat called Geordie. (The latter comes as a complete style surprise to me, but that is another story).

Jane would welcome any information that you can offer to help her build the story of this famous boatbuilders firm.

Many thanks.

Dear Pete ,

I can't help with information about Lambie but I'm fairly certain that the boat you picture ,GEORDIE , had quite a detailed write up in Steamboats and Modern Steam Launches when built in the early '60s.
I haven't got my library to hand so I can't be certain but I believe I am right . She had a horizontal twin under the floor and eventually went to Switzerland where I think she remains .

Well done! You beat me to it, as I have just looked up the article in SBMSL.

Many thanks
