That is one of the most effective uses of "scrap" as you refer to it I have ever seen. That is a Beautiful engine! I would like to have a twin cylinder very similar.

I'd sure like to see some close-ups of that engine.... interesting and sturdy looking design.

Hey Bart

find unfortunately no good close-ups on the computer, but got to find the camera and take a few,
cylinder block reminiscent of Rainers new engine, but I build the cylinders separate, they bolt together, to help get them up in my lathe.
Was a bit worried about the steel liners and steel pistons, so I'm running with a little extra cylinder oil, until now everything seems fine

Got a pic were you almost see the pumps

Bart
I took some pictures of the engine today, where unfortunately not so good, a little too dark.
I'm ashamed of how the engine looks, no shine, and lots of rust, it looks to be 100 years old, though it is only 2
I blame the Machinist, he should be fired :D

hand pump and condensor, the condensor is an old oil cooler.

steering wheel and reversing lever, with it a can remote reverse the Engine.

Hi

May I offer a welcome from the UK too? I have only just had the chance to sit and browse the site and am most impressed with your tug. As Ron said, what a wonderful way to use scrap!

Regards

Pete
