I good friend of mine in Sydney is building a wooden steam launch, about 22 ft, with a 3 x 4 inch single cylinder and a propane fired water-tube boiler.
I have joined the forum rather than my friend because he is rather intimidated by computers.
My particular interests are in 5 inch gauge live steam and electric locomotives and 16 mm/ft scale model live steam.
Boats are not entirely new to me as I previously operated an 18 ft trailer/sailer for more than 10 years, and with my friend's influences, I may be drawn even deeper into this fascinating subject.
John.
