Hello Everyone

Post by 1hand » Sat Jan 12, 2013 8:05 pm

Hello everyone, I'm Matt. I live in Wisconsin, and work as operating engineer of heavy equipment. I have a general interest in steam engines, and machining. I currently have a couple larger model size engines I'm working on/seasoning. As I never seem to have enough irons in the fire, I went and ordered plans for Tiny's M single , double, and the M boiler today.

I'm going to try to get away with just getting the cylinder casting kits, and fab the rest with bar stock and some welding. We will see when the plans get here if that will work.

I'm no pro machinist, sometimes right down crude but am willing to learn and try new things. I can weld rather well I think, and will look forward to the boiler build. I am pretty new to all this, but believe strongly that with the help of you folks I can do this!

So get ready for some serious question asking on my part.

Best Regards,
Matt
