She's a beauty. Been lurking in your blog and wondering when your next update would pop up.
Wes, thanks. Funny, Google decided to quit supporting blogspot, so, any updates will be here.

Guess they acquiesced to the might of facebook and instagram. Shame.

I'll be sitting here. Patiently awaiting updates

Wow Steve, that's really looking nice. Doesn't look like you have far to go. You mentioned steam bending oak, that's usually more setup than it benefits. Remember, there is no shame in laminating thin pieces on an arc'd jig or in place. The large oak bands in the front of my wheelhouse are one inch thick comprised 1/4" laminates.

Steve,

I like all the elements of the boiler door, looks nice.

Is that red pump a gem water pump converted into a steam pump?

I think I have either the same one or very similar.

Steve,

I am in the middle of converting almost the same gem pump. I am curious what steps you took to convert it to steam?

CB,

I asked my machinist friend to comment on what he did - it's all snake oil and witchcraft to me ... I did some work for him that I know about, and he rebuilt the pump.

Little by little ... My Christmas shot for 2021. Trim is finished. Now crafting the starboard quarter seat. The gunmetal flagstaff holder is from cousins across the pond ...
