New Steam Launch Design from Selway Fisher

Post by Johnlanark » Tue May 15, 2012 6:13 pm

Paul Fisher has added an interesting new design to his website this week -the 26ft 8inch Etna at the end of this page....

I like the idea of fitting the engine & boiler beds before planking the hull.

"With her modern reverse counter stern and pronounced tumblehome home in the aft sections changing into a flaired bow sections, she has a hull that will turn heads." Sure will. I wonder if the design is for anyone on the forum?

It's not for anyone who contributes to the forum- it is to have a very special plant installed and will be one of the most stunning launches on Windermere built in the last 20 years.

Look out for pics...!!!

I can believe it. The SF designs are heart-breakingly beautiful, especially as turned out by the featured builders. Head turners indeed!
