Steaming down Ullswater

Post by Maltelec » Tue Nov 24, 2009 7:42 am

In a Land Rover...

The water was 2 1/2 foot in the deepest part, though the waves were a foot high, making the peaks 3 foot. This was for at least 400 yards.

Mr Plod powered though no problem though.

Looks like it helped to drive on the "right" side of the road. Kidding aside, I do hope not too many people were displaced. Did you mean the road was like that for 400 yards, or there hasn't been flooding like that in 400 years?

I meant yards but I would suspect years too.
