Steamboat SOLD
Steamboat SOLD
So was it someone here that got the deal of the century? Thursday 1/9 Mecum auctions sold a 50" steam boat project complete with engines and boiler. No reserve. It brought a whopping $4,125 I didn't find out until the 10th a day late. Go to this web address for lots of pictures https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0120-40581 ... steamboat/

Re: Steamboat SOLD
Ah, yes. That works out to less than $100/inch! Very good.
On a less facetious note, there is still a 32 foot hull with a new boiler and a very nice engine sitting in Olympia, WA. It's been parked on its shipping pallet for over a year. I suspect that the first 10K would walk away with it.

Someone got a heck of a deal there. Auction company or whomever did a poor job of advertising selling it.

I'm in Olympia working on my boat. I'll go and see if that steel 32 footer is still there. If so, I'll see if I can get contact informtion.
