I know it's not all about steamboating however if anyone is interested I have put some some photos of a traction engine and vintage tractor weekend rally held here at Timaru and some taken at the classic boat regatta held at Nelsons lake Rotoiti, this is where I got hooked on steam. Thanks for posting Noel, good to see what our southern cousins are doing. Good to see a couple of former northern vessels (Billy Boy and Janice) in action too, although Billy Boy is rather smarter than when she was in the north. Interesting to see her unusual LIFU horizontal engine too, rather different from the rudimentary single she originally had.
