My father came over on the USS General LeRoy Eltinge as a Hungarian Refugee in 1957 fleeing the aftermath of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution against Communism.

A lot of the refugees got sea sick, but eating was very important, so they had a US Navy Sailor go around yelling 3 times a day in broken Hungarian, "YOU MUST GO EAT, EATING IS MANDATORY"
