Knocking ??

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Do not forget to check the stern tube bearing (especially if you have a rubber one). If too loose, resonance causes strange knocking at certain revolution ranges.

irregular Knocking solved I think! It seemed to come from the condenser.

Discharge pipe straight from the L.P. to condenser ( the preheater was collapsed inside so cut it off which might have started the problem) . Added a 'dibber' pipe to suck from the lowest part of the condenser and serviced the vacuum pump, to great good effect ! about -18psi shows on gauge.

Had a friend who was in Greece a couple of years ago and found out that these greek words mean something.

Esoterica meant a bus line that stayed within the city. "Something held within."

Also Metaphor was the name of the airport carts to haul your luggage. "To carry."

Who knew?
Galileo - Great mind.
Newton - Genius mind.
Einstein - Extraordinary mind
Me - Never mind.
