Penberthy injector question

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Penberthy injector question

Post by daysaver1 » Sat Dec 12, 2009 4:35 pm

The overflow check flap on the injector contains a screw adjustment which on mine, looks to have been "adjusted" before I bought our boat. I have since changed the plumbing, both feed water and pressure line to the boiler. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to properly adjust this flap?

There are several "steam nuts" in your immediate area who may be able to help you in person.. The first that comes to mind is Dick Vennerbeck (the "steam wizard" for the Kinetic Steam Works in Oakland, CA), then there's Gerald Blain (lives in the mountains above San Jose), and John York of St. Helena, CA.

I will PM you with some contact info...
