My largest attempted iron pour was about 60 lbs of iron.
My largest successful iron pour was about 30 lbs of iron.
These days, I think I could relatively easily pour 90 lbs of iron using a lifting crane and a pouring cart, both of which I built.
The green twin started as a whim to learn 3D modeling, and turned into a mission to master pouring gray iron, which I finally succeeded in doing.
It was no longer about building a model engine, but rather learning how to cast engine parts in gray iron.
I have a lot of engines I would like to cast at this point.
Here is a Dake that I have 3D printed the patterns for.

Re: Green Twin Complete
I would really like to cast a Frisco Standard single, with a 3" bore, and am approaching completion of that design.
I plan on casting the helical gears for the valve train.

Here are the helical gears I will cast for the 3" bore Frisco Standard.
The are the same diameter, but give a 2:1 ratio, which is a bit of a trick.

Re: Green Twin Complete
I got a notice today that the last part of the multi-part green twin magazine article series was on its way in the mail.
So time to open up the original green twin thread, which I had kept concealed so as to not preempt the magazine article.
I still don't have the drawings up yet, but will post those at some point on 11x17 sheets.

Here is the introduction thread, which contains links to all of the various build threads for the green twin.
