Anyone here have any experience with a Ray HasBrouck #1 engine? Pros Cons? I want to place it in my 16’ Thayer launch.

mtnman,
Was just reviewing messages on the Yahoo "HasBrouch Engine" forum concerning the #1 & the #10 engines.
Should be able to post the address here, and suggest you read it, search more there, and email some of their post writers:

I would go with the #10

It's a redesign of the #1, and as Ray put it too me, he improved everything he didn't like about the #1 with the #10

If I were building from scratch I'd go with the #10 but I have found a very reasonably priced, very well built #1 that I'm thinking of buying. I don't think I can build one for the price I can get this one for.

Well there you go! :D
Go for it. My friend Will has had a #1 in his Rose hulled "Eureka" for 20 years.....
Goes' good!
