ANOTHER steam canoe

Hi,
Just another guy who's planing on building a 14ft fiber glass canoe with a meek power plant.
Just finished machining a Stuart 10v as a beginner project. Having successfully completed that, I'd like to start on the aforementioned.
Thinking a Stuart no. 4 with reversing gear. A water leg VFT 8" dia ×14" tall. 6"x6" firebox 125 psi working pressure. Non condensing (to start) with a 10" wheel (pitch?).
I really like the Youtube vids of Odewatt and the guy from Germany and his canoe.
Wanted a full size traction engine but that ain't gonna happen. Always wanted a fantail launch but that ain't gonna happen lol. So a little canoe would be a hoot to ply inland lakes of northern Ont.

Welcome to the forum. I too am slowly building a Stuart No 4 type engine for an 11 foot canoe type boat. Stuart No4 upper cylinder assembly, with lower end having a Sthll crank/rod, with 0.625 inch diameter ball bearing pillow blocks on the crankshaft, and a roller bearing connecting rod big end. For such a small boat, reverse gear, or even a rudder is not needed, as a Kayak type paddle can take care of those duties very well.
