Fred,

Your project looks great. We will be looking forward to updates!

You can post multiple pictures in a single post if you'd like, just paste the photo links in one after another. It helps if you put them in links with one link per line, and an empty line in between. This helps in leaving some blank space between pictures, so they don't just blur together.

Hello Fred,
great project!

How did you machine the colums? From full material with lots of chips or did you weld something on it before machining?

I have the same problem at my machine and have not decidede which way to go.

hi rainer

i machined the columns from solid bar
it was a mess with all of the swarf but it didn't take that long
i probably have around 2 1/2 hours on each column
im working on the cylinder casting now and i hope to have it finished soon
ill post more pics as i progress

are you working on the triple also - did you buy your castings from pat spurlock
if you did then have you received all of the castings
i waited over 3 months and i only received a partial set - its close to 5 months now and i'm still waiting

thanks fred

hi wes
i'm still learning how to use this forum and post pics easily
it's amazing that i can build complicated machines and yet i can't figure out how to post pics properly
i really am computer illiterate
i'll post as progress permits
thanks fred

Hello Fred,
no, I am building a self made compound. Took me 12 month from pattern making till first machined part. Normaly the pattern of the triple should be in shelf ;-))
I started a little thread about my engine here...

hi rainer
i looked at your website today
all i can say is
UNBELIEVABLE
to be able to design, produce the very complicated patterns and castings and then machine them in less than one year
you are a very talented designer, pattern maker, foundry man, and machinist
i strive to be a journey man at only one field
you are a journey man in all 4 fields
my hats off to you
fred

Hi Guys,
I am just getting started on a EB triple. I hope it dose not take 5 months for my castings to get here! Anyway I am in Rochester NY and hope to have this engine running this year. I have seen in past posts of people who have built this engine who belong to this forum and have made notes about design flaws. I was hoping anyone who has built this engine can share their experance with us to avoid the learning curve (aside from the people who have already shared)?

I was thinking about having the block Nickel plated but was not sure if that would cause heat problems, any thoughts??

Thanks
Dan
