I need this forum very badly. I would have never done the "blow down" without confirmation. I blew it down from 60 lbs yesterday. WOW that's violent! But black stuff came forth. I'll try 15# next time. 15# is very counterintuitive. I want to blast some of the low pressure hot water down my condenser. I know it's greasy in there. The washing machine hose is a good idea. How long are they? I probably need ten feet to reach the condenser.

The 2500PSI/250F hose I got at home depot was in 4ft and 6ft lengths. I join them together with common garden hose (male x male) brass couplings for long lengths, and use ordinary rubber hose washers. Plastic hose washers will melt..

Be sure to get hose rated for at least 15 PSI / 250F
