Sil-Phos brazing rod wets easily and brazes copper nicely. However...
It is not useable in sulphur environments, i.e. for coal burning, because it disassociates and becomes porous.
Many a sil-phos brazed copper boiler ended life early because of sil-phos alloy.
Food for thought.

Coal? What are coal?
The coal I can get there in the N.W. United Sates is so bad. You get more clinkers back than you put coal in. Add to that the mess and stink and I'll pass.
Good to know about the sulphur issue.

And I don't use coal in any of my steam machines.

That's not just limited to the NWUS, there are still a few mines here in Oklahoma, but it'd be easier to dig the coal out myself than to convince them to sell it in such small quantities.
