You may not have noticed but times are tough and money is tight right now. I didn't think it would break 10k, suprised me. It was still a No Sale. What was the reserve? Heck, I've got a piece of riverfront property for sale, 3 years ago the place next door (Only half as large) sold for $250,000, today I can't get anyone interested in mine at $175,000.
Even during the very best of economic times, I cannot remember a steam boat selling for even half of the investment.

For a long time I dabbled in the Street Rod market. Something I learned is that you buy a completed Rod if you want to save money. It always cost more to build one over buying a completed one.

I'll agree there Mtnman.My son has been 20yr building this [it's not steam but still not bad!] And cost well we won't go there! And he fired it for the first time thursday-He was smiling!!

I sold my '87 GN for less than half of what I put into it, same will happen to my '64 Riviera if I ever sell it.
