I come from Oranienburg. I guess the hole world knows a lot about my sweet hometown
For the other ones: You may find the town in the northern of Berlin, just before the Dampfspieler.
My dream of moving by steam is till 2008 and so the time has gone. Now, new girlfriend, new life, new ways and still we go on.

My way?
Shortly born somewhen in the last century and also the last millenium.
Childhood first contact with steam and big eyes.
Schooltime the next contact and first repair of the steam engine.
After the school just motorbike, special like the AWO425Sport ... I'd had 4 of them but now not even one.
Steelfabric, glazier, master of glass and glassconstructions, work still on.

Today.
We will build now our own SteamLaunch. Till now we'd have a lot help from a lot of peoples, also from Dietrich and Rainer.
Our Launch would be made from a steelground sailboat.
Our machine? We don't know at the time how, but we would like a V-Twin like the Hasbrock or like the modifided Hasbrock made by Earl Morse (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x94ASMtXpk)
Our steam boiler? We also don't know how or what kind. But We guess that the Dampfspieler would build it like we need it for.

So thats the short of me or maybe us here.

Of course, evry kind of steps we will post here. Just of the simple reason, if would be somewhere a mistake or failure, so we have the option to correct it or change by doing.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You have a very good source of knowledge from Radow, and many others on the forum. One of my most favorite books is in German, so language must make adjustments as required!

"Leichte Dampfantriebe An Land, Zur See, In der Luft" by Friedrich Munzinger, Berlin 1937. Purchased years ago for $0.25 USD at a "yard sale", and valuable knowledge to this day for steam machinery of all kinds.

This Book is the most calculated and for constructions of marine steam engine an theier parts, pumps, reversing devices and other machine stuff.
