Union steam newest engine style

Ross Bendixen's AKA Unionsteam newest style of engine. Recall that both Lighthousekeeper and myself have not been happy with his boilers. And Lighthousekeeper had a lot of problems that the engine that came with his boiler.
It's hard for me to say "well that's somewhat shotty" when I have never machined my own engine, but it seems a bit unpolished. I don't know how well a piece of wood and 1 thin piece of barstock can make a stable enough engine frame and work reliably under load, without breakdowns or re adjustments necessary.
Then again, watt's beam engines had structural wood....
At any rate I had not seen this style from Ross till now.
