Stuart #10 Engine Question

To anyone who has a Stuart #10 engine, what is the diameter of the piston rod and valve stem?

The reason I ask is that I have just purchased an A J Reeves "Monarch" 3/4" x 3/4" engine, which has a 3/16" diameter piston rod, which seems excessive.

I'm thinking of using it as the basis of a rotative feed pump inspired by the large air pump in this video YouTube

Thanks!
