As seen on craigslist:

A little pricey in my opinion but a beautiful engine!

It's on ebay also:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scripps- ... 255947c049
That's
not a real Navy "K", it is a "reproduction" LOOSELY based on the diementions an drawings of the "K"
It is a nice engine, but in NO way an "antique".
It is produced by
Robert Scripps out of Fredricksburg, Texas, and one can still get NEW castings for one 20th (or less) the asking price of that engine.
The seller is out of his mind or looking for a sucker.. Me thinks the latter...
If anyone is interested in that engine, at a more reasonable price, or smaller engines (3&5X4", etc.), the address for Robert Scripps is:
Robert P. Scripps
P.O. Box 1069
Fredricksburg, TX 78624
He's a great guy who isn't in it for the take and his castings are hell for stout (They will last FOREVER). He's getting a bit long on his years, but supposedly his son has taken an interest in producing the castings.

Wesley,
Thanks for clarifying and thanks for Scripps' info! Yeah, the price is ridiculous but I figured somebody would find it interesting.

Jorgen
I tried to e mail him a few months ago with a view to getting castings, but got no reply,
I had a possible customer for an engine this size in the UK, I would perhaps have a slot to build another?? next year??
Alternative. have a look at the UK engine "Leek compound" the larger one is
5 & 7 by 4inch stroke. could build you one of these if your interested or check out the drawings for your own build. I could almost guarantee there are faults in the design!
leek castings from
