We really enjoyed seeing the boats (our first time there) and plan to come again next year. I shot this video with my fairly old Sony still camera, so it's not the greatest.

B&W Resort Marina is on Brannan Island Rd. near Isleton, CA in the Delta Loop Recreation area and I believe its on the Mokelumne River.

Great video! Very well done..

Wish I was in closer proximity to these larger meets. I may try to make it over to one of the Lee's Mills or Lake Nockamixon meets next year.

You can see a bunch of our pictures from the B & W meet here:
Beautiful engine in Otter. The green hulled boat, is that a steel hull? If so, any info on it around?

Thanks.... it's still in progress; I bought it as a box of parts a few years ago. I made a new piston, piston rod, piston valve, valve rod, and misc. pieces for the valve gear; the flywheel is part of a semiconductor polishing head. The engine is one from Bowdish Manufacturing Co; I think it was built in 1894 or so... I'm still working out the best way to lube the big end bearing; the design of the big end bearing is a bit marginal, so ample lube is important. The engine is 2.5" x 2.5" w/ a piston valve, Stephenson link and swings a 16" x 20" prop.
The green hull belongs to John York; it's got a Hicks marine gas engine in it now; it used to have one of his compounds, of course. He built the hull himself; it's quite heavy as many small steel boats often are... if it hits the dock, everyone knows it.

The green hull boat is John York's scaled-up (30') version of the Panetela, there were actually two built at the Millerick Brother's shop in Sebastopol, CA (the same shop where the side wheeler Tule Princess was built). She used to be nicknamed "icebreaker" after an incident involving her bouncing over some rocks at the Klamath Lake meet one year (while still in steam guise), with only a scratch in the paint to show for it.
Very nice photos Bart! Still working on getting mine up. Work is kicking my rear..
