I'm impressed, but Sheesh! Where is Bart. It looks like a uniflow.
I'm reminded of the old hack about not complaining about how well a dog walks on its hind legs. You should be impressed that it does it at all.
For me, I'm torn between being fascinated at being able to see the steam inside the engine and, on the other hand, knowing that I'd break it fooling with it.

Looks like a bong to me!! Or a steamer's version! I guess you don't scrape the bearings or drill anything! As a matter of fact Howd he do that??

I've done a small amount of laboratory glass. The stuff grinds fairly easily and with a bit of cunning you can get a really good fit. I mean, telescopes are made of incredibly accurate hunks of glass.
