I have been a steam fan since around 1948 and at one time I owned 2 locomobile engines which I gave to a bloke who was restoring a locomobile car ..
I have , over the years , become aware that a boat is much easier to get steaming in than a car so here I am hoping to get , and needing all the help encouragement , and assistance that is possible ..
I am a reasonable machimist was once an accomplished welder ( eyesight not what it used to be ) and have a well equiped workshop , but presently have no engine but have drawn up plans for a boat so you can say I have made a start , sort of .. Rob

Welcome indeed. Lots of info here, and with the "Kiwi" tag I assume you're from NZ. Quite a number of steamboaters down that way - a couple of them on here, I think.
