Dick Vennerbeck in San Jose knows a bit about steam bikes. He's the "steam wizard" for the Kinetic Steam Works in Oakland. "KSW" has a 3-wheeled steam bike in their collection named "Carpathia"

Then there's Rodger McGuire in Petaluma who has built a couple. In fact, the first motorized bike I ever rode on and drove was his steam bike at the age of about 10.

Monotube boilers are most common
