I hope this Forum has not failed, I see no new posts it could be my laptop has a problem. It is old.

Well, not dead, but certainly silent.
I just replaced my laptop with a new one, and no change in this web board. So that's not an issue.

I suspect people are busy getting back to life post-covid, despite the fact Covid and associated versions are still rampant.
At least when I look at USA hospital data.

More to follow, I'm sure.

Just busy a steamboat'n

Hopefully everyone is too busy getting ready for steamboating season! In my case, Vividus was out of the shop and steamed up for her annual driveway test just yesterday. Here is a shot of her freshly polished whistle mounted on her freshly painted stack. My friend Mike Venezia (who actually enjoys polishing brass) went to heroic lengths to bring out the polish in my previously brown whistle. With any kind of luck, her first taste of lake water for 2023 will be in the next week or so.

thank you for the picture, it looks fine.

Are there three or four spanners at the stack? It is a very reasonable solution.

The 9" diameter stack slides 4.5" into the stack base to rest upon a shoulder. Accordingly, the latches serve mainly to hold the bottom of the stack gas tight against the shoulder. So, there are only two latches, each about 1" forward of port & starboard to compensate for the rake of the stack.

Those latches are a very nice solution.
Certainly something for me to consider down stream.

Those Jeep hood latches are really trick! What a great, yet very simple, idea.
