Hello everyone,
I'm going to update this page because the information is a little outdated, and I noticed that the links no longer work.
We're talking about the Isabelle boat, built in 1939 on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, converted to steam power in 2010, and now sailing on Lake Neuchâtel, also in Switzerland.

The first version of the boiler was instant vaporization, but the development required more work so I made a temporary Lune Valley type boiler in order to be able to sail a little.

Many changes have been made recently, I will try to describe them to you below.

In its original configuration, the boat operated in a closed circuit, with an onboard condenser, cylinder lubrication, and an oil separator in the hotwell.
Following work on the hull, I took the opportunity to make minor mechanical modifications. Here's what was done:
Replacement of the wooden hulls with Bosch aluminum profiles.
Conversion to open circuit
Replacement of the onboard condenser with a hull condenser.
Removal of cylinder lubrication
New air pump
Installation of a feed heater

You have done some beautiful work. A very interesting engine. What are the bore and stroke?

Merci,
Les dimensions sont les suivantes : Hp 51mm, Bp 80mm, course 97mm. Pression 10,5 Bars, Admission 70%.

Thank you,
The dimensions are as follows: 51mm HP, 80mm LP, 97mm stroke. Pressure 10.5 bar, 70% intake.

I made a lot of mistakes with this machine, especially with the steam channels, intake ports, etc. There's a lot of steam brake and lamination inside. This makes it consume too much fuel for a poor performance. That's why I'm building a Reeves to replace it.
