Making a steam atomizing burner

A special section just for steam engines and boilers, as without these you may as well fit a sail.

Making a steam atomizing burner

Post by Spanky »

Hello,

As promised my first picture (pretty boring just 1" brass hexagon bar)

Image

I want to turn it into an burner similar to the one advertised in "Steamboats" on page 34 of the July-August 1961 edition. It looks simple enough to duplicate.

The bar has a slight bow in the middle because I used it as the pivot for a trebuchet I built out of 2x4s a couple years ago (It even worked  All the neighbors were terrified of flaming toilet paper sailing 100 yards)

I believe you're referring to the williams atomizing burner.

I can post/send you pictures of one broken down if you'd like.
