The name of your boat.

Post by Ofcalipka »

Just curious where and how do people place the name of their boats onto their boats here.

I have an Elliot Bay 24' hull and placing a name on the stern would allow fish to be able to read it from the fantail so I was thinking of having vinyl graphics done to place on the front sides near the bow as I dont want to drill holes into the hull to mount a wooden nameboard.

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Looking over the photographs of the Lee's Mills meet last year, traditional launches have name boards mounted on the canopy, or the boat name painted on each side of the bow, either above or below the typical registration numbers. Boats with cabins have a nameboard on the cabin sides.

Or maybe have a "vinyl" wooden block made with the name on it.It would appear to be wooden but it's a decal! And no drilling the hull!Image[/img]
