Hi,

i bought a set of castings for a manual boiler feed pump on ebay a few days ago. Unfortunately, the seller has no drawings for the pump and STUARTMODELS also has no more documents available. Peter had already helped me a little further with the results of his research, so that I was able to create the description below, but he couldn't find any drawings either.

------------
STUART HAND FORCE PUMP 145/3
Description
No. 145/3 ..
1/2 in. Bore,
1 in. Stroke,
0.196 cu. in. displacement.
Design
Nice compact hand operated high pressure water
pumps for filling boilers. When connected via a
clack valve the boilers can be refilled whilst
under steam. They consist of a plunger operating
in a cylinder, connected to this are an input and
output pipes. Each has a one way valve
comprising a stainless steel ball bearing that sits
on a machined seating. The out stroke sucks in
water and the in stroke pushes the water out.
----------

But because I would like to have them to create a new metric drawing set, I'm asking for help here.

In the meantime, I'm already thinking about which devices I need and how I could build them in order to be able to process the cast parts well.

If you do not get needed information here, try the USA-based Chaski Home Shop Machinist discussion board:
http://www.chaski.org/homemachinist/

It has a large live steam discussion group and there are often plans available from those who have built such casting sets.
You will need to sign in, but will find a wealth of knowledge and information. Content is strongly monitored to keep the web board friendly.
I remain active with this group.
