Hello from the Wirral

Post by Mike Cole »

Hullo All
I am currently in the planning stage of building a boat. I have been a SBA member for a few years but have too many projects on the go. Building a traction engine at the moment but a boat is next on the list.
Just spend best part of a week steaming around Liverpool docks on a Fellows SBA boat. Very enjoyable.

Welcome to the forum. Ask away on any questions, there is lots of knowledge among the members.
The planning stage is almost as much fun as boat ownership, and a lot cheaper. John

Welcome , like John said lots of knowledge here. I too am in the planning stages for a boat.
Just sold my 60hp case at the Threshers meet last month I still retain a Peerless portable engine at about 20hp and a couple of small stationary engines . Unfortunately none are suitable for a boat . best of luck to you. and again welcome.

Welcome Mike!

Nice to see some more SBA members sign up. This is a great forum, but do beware. Some of our members will tempt you with wonderful photos, useful advice and smashing designs and, before you know it, you will have a half finished boat in your garage... (just like me! )

Do drop by if you have time when passing.

Regards

Pete
