A couple of notes:
ASME Section I, PFT-52 has been eliminated from the 2013 edition of the ASME Code. Fusible plugs are no longer mandatory on hand fired boilers.
I considered the circulation above the crown sheet. It may be an issue. If it is I will put in external circulators, threaded in the shell and sundry.
There are 55 each 1-1/4” x 33” tubes. I miss spoke on the heating surface. It is 50.8 ft2. Bit of a typo.
The boiler was built by Kloke Construction in Illinois. They built the Leviathan and the York #17 locomotives.

The interesting thing is the rational the ASME board used when removing the requirement. They basically said that modern hand fired boilers controls had improved to the point were a fusible plug was no longer necessary.
There are no "controls" on a hand fire boiler. (Other then the fireman/engineer)
There is a high likelihood they will bring this requirement back on the next edition.
Either way, even though it's not required now, LundMachineWorks recommended it. I'm glad to have it there on mine as a option.

Just got word that my new boiler got the final ASME independent inspection and test and has been stamped today with the clover, P-2 ASME form submitted to the National Board.
