I did use cocks from Chanter Biomed on the Elliott Bay triples but these are gauge glass drain cocks Klinger AB10 type, modified to take two entries to drain both ends of the cylinder at once, they are probably too large for your requirements but look the part, they are expensive. Some of the bigger S.S. Engines used a complete gauge glass assembly for drains cocks but with a copper tube in place of the glass. Thee Kingdon type engines used cocks as you described though. I am just making a batch of “Windermere kettle” cocks which are similar.

Thanks for that Jack. While the Klinger cocks would possibly blend in ok on the 30hp Simpson Strickland, they would look out of place on the smaller engine (3 + 6 * 3 1/2). As the 30hp engine is earning her keep, it certainly won't be stripped to get the smaller engine going. Those windermere kettle cocks look interesting, and as you say very similar to what we are looking for.

P.S. Lovely neat job of the plumbing on the Elliot Bay engine
